Since its founding in 1986, APRIL has grown into a network of over 250 members, leading advocacy in rural transportation, mentoring independent living programs, and strengthening community inclusion through national conferences, partnerships, and initiatives.

National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns (NAMRC)
NAMRC is a professional association rooted in the legacy of the 1969 Council of Non-White Rehabilitation Workers, founded to ensure representation and equity for BIPOC professionals and communities within the rehabilitation field. Since becoming a formal division of the National Rehabilitation Association in 1992, NAMRC has advanced its mission of promoting cultural diversity and disability equity through education, advocacy, professional development, conferences, state chapters, and recognition programs, making it a leading voice for multicultural issues in rehabilitation.

NCCA, the state branch of the American Counseling Association, unites counselors across settings through its Executive Council, regional members, specialty divisions, and committees.
